Beautiful toes are always in style!
Start with clean nails and push your cuticles back.
Use cuticle nippers and trim the excess cuticle. Be patient!
Trim your nails back. Always trim toenails straight across to avoid ingrown nails. Just checking, did you hear that part? Straight across. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not cut those corners off!
Shape your nails with a file.
I always like to gently buff the surface of the nails for smooth polish application.
Dust the nails clean and apply OPI Chip Skip to the nails.
Use toe dividers if necessary and apply base coat. I use Seche Vite ridge filling base coat. Base coats are important because they help your polish stay on longer, they make your polish smoother, makes it easier to remove your polish, and keeps your nails from staining (as bad as it would have been without a base coat.)
Apply 2 coats color and clean up any imperfections as you go.
Apply your top coat. I prefer Seche Vite, you can buy this at Sally's. It dries fast and has a great shine.
And voila! You have fabulous, beautiful nails! Let them dry for about an hour. I recommend waiting 2 hours before putting on socks and shoes.
